Introduction

Wine. A beverage enjoyed in many places and by many people. It can be enjoyed with friends at dinner, as a way to unwind after work, as a technique to get the creative juices flowing, or all of the above and then some (like in my case). Whatever the reason for the glass of fermented grapes in your hand, wine is a beverage most enjoyed while wasting time. Heck, wine itself is a form of wasting time, taking months and years to brew. It's probably the most delicious waste of time there is...

For me, the time I tend to enjoy most in life is the time I'm "wasting". What I mean by "wasting" is this:
I could easily be doing something else with my time, something more productive (like laundry). But instead, I decide to browse Pinterest, or try a new quinoa recipe, or drink a bottle of wine, or...BLOG!

And thus, Waste time...Not wine, was born. To be clear, although I like to indulge in the art of wasting time, wine is one thing I never waste.

Anyway, this blog will serve as a way for me to share with you (the single digit number of readers/followers I hope to acquire) all of the ways I like to "waste time"; and maybe the wine I drink in the process.

What Re-Watching The Office Taught Me About Love at 27

When Michael Scott was making everyone cringe and giggle in 2005, I wasn’t paying a whole lot of attention to show The Office . It wasn’t until I re-watched it at 27 years old that I realized how many lessons it was teaching me. This show is somehow constantly relevant. I definitely didn't cry while writing this piece about The Tragically Hip...

The Tragically Hip - Man Machine Poem Day 3 in Toronto, ON Armed with will and determination...and grace, too. Gord Downie, lead of The Tragically Hip, embodies that line from the song Grace, Too. Those words have never been felt deeper than they were these last few weeks as the band takes the stage in multiple cities across Canada for what has been deemed their farewell tour. In May, the band released a statement letting their adoring fans know that frontman Gord Downie - a Canadian treasure on the same level (or above) as icons like Don Cherry and Wayne Gretzky - was suffering from terminal brain cancer.
